Settings File

Insert a ModuleScript into the elevator model and name it Settings and insert the code below in the script:

return {
    -- All Categories go inside this table
}

Doors Category

['Doors'] = {
    -- All settings related to doors gets put inside this table.
},

Door Open & Close Speed Required

['Door_Open_Speed'] = 1.68, -- Doors take 1.68 seconds to open fully.
['Door_Close_Speed'] = 2.48, -- Doors take 2.48 seconds to close fully.

Door Nudge Speed Optional

['Nudge_Speed'] = 3, --The time in seconds the doors will take to close (only on nudge mode)

Defaults to Door_Close_Speed if setting isn't present.

Door & Nudge Timer Required

['Door_Timer'] = 4,
['Nudge_Timer'] = 50,

Door Open & Close Delay Pattern Optional

['Door_Open_Delay_Pattern'] = {'Outer', 'Inner'}, -- Recommended only to use for freight doors

Defaults to false if setting isn't present.

Reopen & Hold on Nudge Obstruction Optional

['Reopen_When_Nudge_Obstruction'] = false, --Whether the door reopens when the doors are obstructed in nudge mode (the doors will reclose if reopened in nudge mode)
['Hold_On_Nudge_Obstruction'] = false, --Whether the doors stop on nudge obstruction

Both defaults to false if setting isn't present.

Open & Reopen & Close Delay Required

Custom Door Velocity System NEW

WARNING

The Legacy door system will soon be removed for default use.
It will still be supported via third party, it can be implemented by using the new Internal Plugins system.

To start off, let's start with the master config

['Custom_Door_Operator_Config'] = {
	['Inner'] = {

	},
	['Outer'] = {

	},
}

Now, add the following settings below into both the Inner & Outer segments:

Opening

['Opening'] = {
	['Enable'] = true, -- Whether to use this setting [DEPRECATED]

	['Acceleration'] = .06, -- Rate of acceleration in CFrames/RunService step
	['Acceleration_Rate'] = {
		['Rate'] = 'Gradual', -- Gradual/Constant (Constant is accelerating the speed by the same value constantly, Gradual is gradually accelerating the speed by itself)
		['Gradual_Duration'] = 1, --The total factor from 0 to 1 determining how powerful the gradual rate should be
	},

	['Deceleration_Rate'] = 'Constant', --Constant/Exponential - The rate at which the door slows down when reaching its target position
 	['Deceleration_Distance'] = .45, --Distance in studs for how far the doors will be until they decelerate
	['Deceleration_Offset'] = 0, -- Distance in studs for how far the doors will be from the target position when the doors reach the minumum speed

    ['Minimum_Speed'] = .05, -- Speed for the doors to slow down to

    ['Custom_Acceleration_Stages'] = { -- The order goes as follows: When the doors begin to open, the stage starts at the topmost setting in the tableset. The final stage is at the bottom.
    	{
			['Acceleration'] = .03, -- Rate of acceleration in CFrames/RunService step
			['Speed'] = .1, -- What the doors will accelerate to (0-inf, the speed is capped to the door speed based on Door_Open_Speed)
			['Delay_Before_Next_Stage'] = .25, -- Time in seconds to delay after the speed has been reached
			['Ignore_Acceleration_Duration'] = true -- When enabled, the acceleration duration will not be accounted for Delay_Before_Next_Stage
      	},
    }
},

Closing
